  FSM's Elmer Bernstein Boxed Set   Saturday, June 24, 2006 (5:46 p.m.)

Well, I dont think nary a word has been spoken here about the amazingly huge Elmer Bernstein Film Music Collection set that is now on sale at FSM. I have yet to order it but am considering it, but I am taken aback at the cost, which is $199.95 for 12 discs of unreleased material on CD, including a 136 page hardcover book.

Has anyone here ordered this yet or is going to? Is is worth it to you? Personally for me and really for all filmscore fans, this is a treasure trove of music. And probably a must have for any Bernstein fan.

Heres the link to it for all the info you'd could want:

Tom, I'm a huge Bernstein fan, and the set looks absolutely marvelous, really, it does. But I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to afford it right now. However, if it's still around in a month or so, I might be able to throw together the resources. Think I've got a chance, or will this one disappear in a flash?

Back at ya later

How long did it take the Goldsmith box to sell out?

The Goldsmith box only took a week or so to sell out if I remember correctly. I believe this one will take much longer to sell out.
