From 1998 through the end of 2003, I was a regular here and established many wonderful friendships with the message board / chatroom contributors. The music we shared and the conversations here were always a source of comfort through difficult times in my life and I am eternally grateful to all of you.

I had my first child in 2000 and that changed many things in our lives. My husband collected comic books, history books, toys and games. I collected dolls and the two of us together collected music, primarily soundtracks but also pop music and world music as well. We stopped buying everything except for music after the birth of my son. Those here whom know me are aware I had my daughter the next year in 2001 and finally my third child, Ivan, in 2003. In 2003, it became apparent that money for our children's future was more than our income allowed for so we stopped buying music then too. We actually came to this conclusion back in 2000 and so my husband started selling his books on eBay along with other collected items we had around the home. We are now at the very near end of all of his items which means it has come to the time to sell my dolls and our music collection. Over the next several months, we will be selling it all, with new items put up daily. Anyone who sells at eBay knows there is a listing fee, a final value fee, relisting fees under certain conditions and PayPal fees. If an items sells the first time, eBay gets about 50 cents out of $2 which is what we are going to sell them at ($1 list + $1 "shipping on additional items") and of course, each item was originally purchased at 10-20 times that amount so it will be a great sale. We are selling both CDs and LPs. We are prepared to take the loss on these just as we have done on the books we have sold, so it's nothing new to us. Our eBay I.D. is the same as I use here...Kimiakane. Please bookmark us as a Favorite Seller so it will be easy to check often. Thank you for your interest and support in this sale.

Fortunately, I will not be without my music just as I haven't been these last 3 years. I am content with what I listen to now, which is downloaded on my computer and elsewhere. Since the days of cassette tapes, we had always made copies of our CDs and LPs right away to preserve the collectibility of the originals. This means that everything we are selling is in "like new" condition and will be valued additions to your collections, I am sure.

I would like to invite at this time for my Filmtracks.com friends to say their farewells to me and if you would rather be more private about it, please feel free to e-mail me. Please avoid any romantically-themed correspondence (as I have received in the past) as I am content with my husband...LOL. I am also interested in hearing what your favorite scores are for this year, even if I can't buy them, as I always learned so much from you all and always enjoyed reading your reasons for your passion for a particular body of work.

I wish you all a long, happy & healthy life. May your collections continue to grow and keep your passion alive! I have missed and will continue to miss you.

with love as always,
the former "filmscore gal"
Galina
