> It is going to be 93 degrees or higher here in Minnesota for at least 9 days straight and on Saturday and Sunday it will be 100 and 101 degrees! I hate the sun!
I was just thinking about how nice the summer weather has been here (ie. lack of triple digit tempatures and high humidity's). I'm sad to hear that the rain, thunderstorms, and "cool" dark clouds will be leaving the NorthEast. Just yestarday, there was a small tornado spotting in NY.
> And if I hear one more person say, "I'll take the heat because before we know it it will be winter" I'll bury them up to their necks in the sand somewhere and leave them for the vultures.
I saw a recent weather map on TV and it suprised me, mostly everything was orange/red.
Here's the upcoming forecast. "The heat and humidity will reach the Northeast just in time for the weekend. The forecast from Boston to New York and all the way to our nation's capital calls for the dreaded three H's of summer - hazy, hot and humid. Highs are expected to reach or exceed 90 degrees each day this weekend, with the RealFeel ® temperatures making it feel well above 100 degrees. AccuWeather.com is forecasting the intense heat and humidity will continue well into next week.
The showers and thunderstorms that over the past several days have stretched from New England to the Central Plains will finally exit; however, the storms are not leaving quietly. Severe storms ripped through the greater New York City area at the height of Wednesday's afternoon rush hour. A rare tornado reportedly touched down in Westchester County, New York, just 20 miles north of Manhattan. Fortunately, there were no major injuries or fatalities."
Why must the rain leave so early? Why can't the heat just stay in Texas?
> I'll take -40 with a -70 windchill anyday over temperatures in the 90s.
Like you, I prefer the snow, the cold weather, and Nor’easter's
