Tomorrow morning looks like a good time to let rip with the new software. It's running a little slower than I would like, but that's because I'm testing it on the 149,000 messages in this old forum. It should be fast on about 50,000 messages. I may regularly archive these boards every two or three years from now on (to keep the main index fast).

One thing I forgot to mention in the changes described in my last post was the editing function. I did end up including this feature, though I configured it so that you're only allowed to edit each post once. I scrapped the time limit on edits.

When the changeover happens, you will experience a "403: Forbidden" error for a couple of hours when you attempt to access the Scoreboard directory. I'll try to minimize that downtime, of course.

There still may be cookie problems. We'll see.

The Marxist Oboe thread, by the way, continues to get traffic from other sites (joke-a-day kind of things), and while responses to it will cease, people will still be able to come in and view it. All posts will continue to exist at the same URLs, so if you guys want to do a "best of" list, or link to previous ones, everything will continue to work.
