I have read all the posts here and have to comment on my feelings and reactions to this great score. Everytime I hear track 9."Where Dreams Are Born".....I have watery eyes. It is so damn beautiful and emotional, thoughts of past emotional happenings in my life flashback to me everytime I hear this track. This score is no way close to "The Rock" or "Gladiator". Also, John Williams does not need to go home, nor is he the suckiest composer. John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith are the greatest composers in my mind. I pray and will watch the Oscars March 24 and will watch John Williams win his Oscar for "A.I. Artificial Intelligence". God Bless

I 100% agree. A music without a theme is nothing to me and this Lord Of The Rings is totally overrated I think. A.I. Where Dreams Are Born is way better than every track in LOTR and moreover in A.I. the "Searching For The Blue Fairy" is another incredible track in Williams's career. In LOTR the breaking of the fellowship theme really sux! I compose myself and play piano and A.I. has one of the most unique and beautiful theme to play in piano. The theme's simplity and at the same time complexity is first in years since Jurassic Park main theme. I also hope Williams gets the oscar because really he deserves it, not Shore. LOTR score is quite good also but lacking of a good theme. I really get bored in Breaking Of The Fellowship theme. It lacks of all feelings.

Thanks so much for the reply. I'm sitting here laughing actually because when you had said LOTR "The Breaking of the Fellowship " sux, that was another track sort of speak that really threw my emotions. But A.I. i feel is way better than Howard Shore's LOTR. Great response and keep it coming. I love discussions without putting someon'es opinion down. Email me back if you want. Kevin

u guys are semi-weird. Ok i admit there are ups and down on the lord of the rings soundtrack but even williams is not all that godlike...specially with the AI which works better as a pop album than as a real soundtrack. The point of latter is...as we all know..to work in a movie...and not as a britney spears album, right?
Anyway...oscars are going to be hard to predict this year...there is horner involved remember?

Both LOTR and AI are good. Stop the competition/bitching!
