Jurassic Park is by far one of his gretaes scores because almost anyone can recognize the two main themes if they are whistled or hummed. Like the journey to the iskand and my friend the brachiasuarus.

Well, one does have to remember that Jurassic Park had a lot of hype attached to it and so a lot of people went to go see it, but I do not think that it is the most recognizable. But let's humor the idea. So a lot of people recognize the score... Does that make it the most underated?

If you want to talk Williams and underated, I would have to say that Schindler's List would be it. What makes this score so great is that it isn't text-book-Williams, unlike so much of Williams work.

I think that Schindler's list may be underated in a sense that not many people have seen the movie. I also agree that most people would remember the Jurassic Park music over the Schindler's List music, but I don't think that Schindler's List is his most underated work. I mean Schindler's List won best score of the year in '93 (well deserved too!), but there was another film that Mr. Williams scored in '93! It is called Far and Away. Great music to a not so big movie. Far and Away was lost in the shadows, because his other 2 scores in 1993 were for Big Hit movies - Schindler's List and Jurassic Park. So you see his score for Far and Away was sort of lost, and not many people have even heard of the movie. So I'd say that Far and Away is by far John Williams most underated score.
