I think this is my favorite Hans Zimmer or James Newton Howard score. The songs are a very creative mix of synth, horror, heartfelt drama, and pounding action.

This is one of the best scores of 2005, or ever!

Okay... let's see....

Great Scores:

Star Wars
Superman
Indiana Jones
E.T
Star Trek (Any of the Goldsmith Scores)
Always

And to throw in some really good horror scores:

Haloween
Child's Play 2
Friday the Thirteenth

Some of those (albeit mostly John Williams) are very likely to be in the upper echelon of the greatest scores ever. You would put this score in the same league with them??? Are you certain about that?? *S* I'm glad somebody enjoyed it that much. Although, I will agree it is some of Hans's best work in recent memory.

Happy listening.

I would agree that it is a pretty good score within the realm of 2005.
