"New Rules" has the biggest performance of the idea. I'm not sure which part though. Forgot when it appeared during the cue.

Yeah, that's what confuses me. The way the trumpet is utilized is SIMILAR to how Goldsmith used it in Alien, but the theme itself doesn't sound like that trumpet theme from Alien. Unless it represents another motif (maybe the two-note "time" theme)?

While stylistically similar to all lonely trumpet calls, the "Martha" material is clearly derived from the beginning of Superman's piano theme. That five note phrase. It's a slightly distorted version of notes 2, 4 and 5. In fact after that five note phrase repeats and you hit the four-note phrase that jumps up a bit? Cut the first note of that four-note phrase, modulate it slightly and there you go.

Thank you! When Christian mentioned an Alien quote, I was a bit astonished that I had missed it since I've been listening to it quite often lately. After a while, I figured the Trumpet solo was the only thing that came anywhere near the ballpark of the Alien theme, but until seeing this I wasn't really sure. I don't think I would have ever thought about that theme being from Alien, even if I was researching heavily since all it is is a 3-note interval pattern that matches one in of the middle of the theme so I definitely agree that it's not from Alien. Just seems an effective theme for Bruce's grief written in a way that suggests it will never resolve. *shrug* My little thinkey-thoughties for what they're worth.
