The book thief and the late 90th

I really feel reminded of some works of Williams of the late 90th, when listening to this score. Angelas Ashes, Stepmom, Amistadt; there are some similarities. Unfortunatly I have the feeling, that they were somehow more inspired, than The book thief is...
