Although I'd somewhat disagree with you as for your "1-star" rating of the score, it's much more a matter of personal taste. On the other hand, why should Williams fans kill you for stating your opinion? Nobody was born to produce bestseller by bestseller and top composers --among whom I'd gently rank Williams-- are famous for having made a few enduring scores over their oeuvre, but not each and every score has to necessarily be of that magnitude. Look at the career of, say, Alan Menken. He managed to win a back-to-back Oscar for Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, but never managed to produce as strong scores since (although he won yet another Oscar a few years later). And still, that "lack of strong scores" should not serve as a reason for his repute to be lessened in any way, don't you think?

I agree. I was really annoyed when I read MSM's messages that Zimmer is , because he doesn't use counterpoint. He uses it, otherwise, he wouldn't do orchestral works.

You can recognize a good composer at his varity of styles,
and with Catch me if you can, you see that JW is a great composer,
if not the best!

You gave no indication that you even listened to any of the score before giving it one star, based on Clemmensen's review. If you did, well then you're entitled to your opinion. If you haven't listened to the score, then your opinion is about as valuable as a pen without ink. If you can't back up an opinion in any way, then you aren't entitled to one.
That said, Clemmensen's review is fairly accurate. 3 stars is a decent review. I'd say 3.5, personally. However that is simply because I did find the score to be an enjoyable one. I can see how one may find it to be less than enjoyable, and those people are entitled to their opinion.
Finally, as far as him giving a John Williams score three stars, look at his composer tribute for Williams and you can see that he's given a number of three star reviews to past projects.
