I just saw the film, and it blew any first opinions that I had about the score away. The movie is absolutely spectacular, and now the entire album makes sense. The most enjoyable tracks as presented in the film are "All That Jazz", "Cell Block Tango", "Razzle Dazzle", "Nowadays", and the finale "Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag". Of course this is just my personal opinion, but, these are also the songs that got the most applause from the rest of the audience in attendance at the theater. The film is spectacular, and the music makes sense. The spectacular visuals alsong with the upbeat songs make for the perfect combination in this film. It's even better than Moulin Rouge.

I completely agree. Of course my parents didn't. Since I'm in theatre, they have a grudge against any movies like Chicago and Moulin Rouge. they think that since I like them, it's trash.
