In the DVD`s commentary track the director mentions that John was brought in after the original composer had problems with his scheduling so can anyone tell me who that was?
My guess is actually two: James Newton Howard or Randy Edelman because i think that the producers wanted something like Sixth sense or Daylight so Debney had a bit of their style because i think that is what the producers wanted, am i wrong? Help me out on this please

I haven't listened to the commentary track (mostly because I hated this movie so much), but I find it hard to believe anyone else was originally scheduled to score the film, considering Debney and Shadyac have worked together so many times. I'm guessing it was James Newton Howard too.
