During "Buddy's Journey" & "Santa's Flight" there is a very powerful and melodic theme that swells up. I've heard this tune before but i don't know what it's from. If anyone watched the Oscars this year, you will have heard it around the end of the opening prologue. The begining of the tune is exactly the same as in ELF but then it changes into an even more beautiful original melody. I'm not even sure if this other tune is John Debney or not...but I really need to find out what it's from. Can anyone help me PLEASE?

thanks

Just so you all know, I have tracked down the familier theme. Go listen to the score from "The Polar Express" by Alan Silvestri. The track entitled "Polar Express Suite" is what I and maybe you have been looking for!!!

Cheers

Main issue is that Elf was produced before The Polar Express. They both seem to sound a lot like songs from Edward Scissorhands.

Yeah, I also thought the theme was a bit too familiar. It sounds great in the film, actually it's one of the best themes I've heard (yeah I know, I'm pushing.) I have no idea if there's another one like it, but I bet it would sound beautiful it some of the right instrument were put together.

Anybody else knows?
