After the soundtrack, I found myself staring vacantly with a half embarrased grin. Amazing-utterly bizarre-pathetic. Manga feast.

And like most critics, you come with no evidence to support your claims.

What evidence does he need? The score is a major disappointment - plain and simple. It's pretty basic - you listen to the score, it's not so good, you don't like it - not much evidence needed there. You don't need to launch some major investigation to decide if you like a score or not.

Why do you think 'reviews' are longer than "I like it/don't like it"? SUBSTANCE

And as long as you make claims like "it's a major disappointment" without following-up on it, no one should take you seriously. Why should I or anyone else listen to you when you simply say "I don't like it period"? You could at the very least offer a *reason* why you don't like it.

WHy should anyone read reviews? They differ from your opinion, anyway...

You're missing the point

But the difference between a REVIEW and your comments is that while you both state an opinion, a REVIEW backs it up with evidence and exlanation. You may agree or disagree with Clemmenson's review, but at least he explains why he likes/dislikes it. You can't pass off "I don't like The Hulk" as a good review. It has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not it's the same as my opinion. That's never what this argument was about.

no, but my argment is: a review is afterall just another opinoin. Maybe more diffrenciated then a comment, but in the end it comes up to weather you like it or not.

"Weather"? Now I DO understand why you didn't take the time to make a more well-thought out 'comment' like the rest of the population. Would you REALLY want to read reviews for movies, books, music, etc if they all consisted of "I like this movie", "I don't like this music" with no explanation or reasoning? (the answer to that question should be NO)

An opinion with no reasoning and nothing to back it up is trivial and worthles. Sure it may be your two cents, but that's it - nothing we should take seriously.

Its little quarrels like these that make me not ever want to read other people's opinions. Although I enjoy laughing at how people make Clemmensen out to be a bastard all the time.

(Thanks for telling me that that was sarcastic, I was too stupid to notice... oh wait, damn, there's that sarcasm again!)

I'm glad you are refraining from arguing, because it was an idiotic argument to begin with. I suppose the moral of this 'quarrel' is that to be taken seriously, a review of any type of media (book, movie, music) must have some sort of explanation - otherwise it's worthless.
