Zimmer is rolling in the dough and you're begging your pathetic followers for pennies. Say what you want, but nobody takes you seriously anymore!

Go on stroking that flaccid shaft, needledick. Zimmer is a washed up hack, just like John Barry as Filmtracks says. Zimmer even looked outdated in that stupid live performance he did of Inception. What a dork.

Look, that is a fool calling the fool a fool.

John Barry is a hack ...?
He shaped the biggest franchise in cinematic history.

Though it would break my heart to see it, maybe if CC were to stop reviewing Zimmer's work, we wouldnt see these hopeless fanboys. Its an interesting thought that hopefully won't become a reality. But Zimmer's massive army of followers can be dangerous

How old are you? I mean, really- when has the quality of the art ever had anything to do with how much money someone makes? Look at history, man. Earnings just indicate how well the artist PLAYS THE GAME! In some cases- we get both: great art that earned the artist great dividends. But they have never been two sides of the same coin.
What's next? "Hans Zimmer's Dad can beat up YOUR Dad!"
Evolve already.

The age question you pose is poignant indeed. Is it possible that the reviewers distaste for Hans Zimmer and other similar artists that are so ubiquitous these days may have to do with his age on the opposite end of the spectrum? Movie soundtracks are indeed evolving. To be so in love with the classics that you reject future classics just because they are different is narrow-minded. And it also borders on pride. As shown in that critics often decide that if something is appreciated by the public at large, then they must show their superior understanding and education by criticizing it and doting upon more educated soundtracks that the public is obviously too dull to understand.

If by "The evolution of film music" you mean, the second time computers will try and steal jobs from musicians...then yes, we are in the upswing of another generation of electronic music, Techno 2.0 scores. However, in years to come they will not be the monolithic splash in the ocean of film scorers who can weave and wield an orchestra like a blunt weapon to the likes of Williams, Silvestri, Debney, Elfman, Howard, Shore,. Electronic music will swing up, and then swing back down only to remembered as a fleeting fad and always looked at with fond memories like "The Beverly Hills Cop Theme". Orchestras and people will live on...
