This is the first score I have purchased by John Powell.
And I am QUITE IMPRESSED. I love this snazzy, non-pretentious little score. I like the aggressive action motifs in BOAT CHASE and FACE OFF. Very ballsy, and yet at the same time, with OPENING TITLES, THE ITALIAN JOB, THE NEW PLAN, AND GOLDEN, we get softer, yet equally groovy rhythms. I have recently bought a bunch of duds, Including X2, a highly overrated and underwhelming score.

I highly recommend THE ITALIAN JOB. It's catchy and breezy, and very intense when it needs to be.
