I think this is at least on par with the first score. It falls short of the second one (the tribal drums in that were just awesome and sadly not duplicated here).
I wholehartedly disagree with the Review above, the performance of ALL of the material - ESPECIALLY the JP1&2 themes are good. I think what the reviewer didn't want to realize or accept is how good (and by good I mean fun and energetic - not necisarily a marvel of melody) Davis' new theme is. It's really a nice one and would sound great performed in burps. The tempo isfine, the end credits are fun BECAUSE of the faster tempo (they are disappointing because of the end statement of the Danger fanfare as opposed to a Williams-ish bookend- with the JP Theme, the JP3 Family Theme the JP Theme again and THEN for sentimentality the danger fanfare performed solo (not a good portion of the horn section as it is).
The action music should have been more like the San Diego Music in TLW, tribal drums and horns, as it stands the action music is a little boring, plain horns, nothing exotic or fun.
What IS fun is what I've been wanting for the better part of a decade, a HEROIC, even Fanfarish rendition of the main theme.
It doesn't get nicer than this.
8 out of 10

The first score is better.
