I actually like this score. I must admit, it sounded like it was written for a totally different movie (Michael Bay, perhaps)but at least he was trying something miles away from what John had achieved (and quite frankly will never be bettered). It seems Mr. Clemmensen also has a weakness to ambient scores - from his damning analysis of Cliff Martinez, to the textured rumbling drones featured in most of Zimmer's work today.

My choices vary: From Rozsa, North, Williams, Goldsmith, Martinez - Christ! i'd even give the frowned upon Reznor a bash. As much as i enjoy reading your reviews - and at times spot on - i would advise you to steer clear of Mr. Zimmer and ambient music in the future, before it drives you crazy. But in the meantime...Keep up the good work.
