In the movie there is a song when Morpheus fights the twins. A website says that it was Dread Rock by Oakenfold. They both have the same beat but the movie has an orchestra in it and it sounds way better and different. But on the cd, its all left out. Is it possible that there are other versions on the song ? If so, does any1 know where i can get the same version from the movie?

Its not unusual for a film to use an existing piece of music (most often electronica) and have the composer add orchestrations to it. Typically, on album you will only find the original song. Due to orchestra re-use fees/licensing issues, you are unlikely to find the version of the music used in the film. Another case that springs to mind was Moby's "God Moving Over the Face of the Water" used at the end of "Heat". It had additional orchestrations in the film that did not appear on the album version.

I too am looking for the mix of Don Davis' "Double Trouble" and Paul Oakenfold's "DreadRock" that was combined and used in the Film (During the Garage Fight) It differs drastically from the version of "DreadRock" on the CD release. Oddly, oakenfold.com has no mention of his work on the matrix AT ALL, and Last I checked Don Davis' website is also nil. If anyone has heard about or has this song, I'd greatly appreciate it if you let us all know.

You know, I was trying to mix the DreadRock with the DoubleTrouble, but in Dread Rock there is a main electronical beat which I can't wash away!

So I'm also the one who's looking for the track DoubleTrouble with the beats...:)
