I love this score, I completely disagree with Mr. Clemmensen (which is okay!). I think the score needs the underscore, which is definetely not bland, it simmers with quiet intensity and beauty... one has to listen closely, but there is so much beauty and potentially intriguing music there, its typical Newman music - but I love it. However of course, some tracks have greater power than others, "Hint of a Thrill" is amazing, as well as "Fifth Avenue." But the two main powerhouses of the score are, "Someone Else" and "That Next Place." They both surge with raw emotion (they bring tears to my eyes... honestly). This is an incredible work, not to be missed... I'm going to disagree and say that anyone, not just Newman fans should listen to this... this is what Film Music is all about, beautiful and stunning, it should not be missed!
