I don't know if anyone else has noticed this..

But the New Moon theme used the exact same chord progression as the main motif in Philip Glass's "Dracula" performed by the Kronos string quartet. Considering both movies are about vampires, I highly doubt this connection is just coincedence.

Though there is warrant for your concern, this might just be a coincidence. When I tabbed the melody of New Moon, I realised I had written that exact same chord progression months before New Moon was ever heard of.

Plagiarism? Not quite. Besides, Desplat's version sounds way better. Philip glass's 'theme' is just, horrifying to even be considered music.

Since when are chord progressions ever considered plagiarism? There are hundreds of pop songs with the same chords.
