David Arnold's demo music was rejected, and John Williams was brought in at short notice to score this film. Subsequently, Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich have not enlisted the services of David Arnold on any of their subequent films, including the most recent, Eight Legged Freaks.

Well, let's think about this... would Eight Legged Freaks have been a movie that Arnold would score? Honestly. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back with them again when they go back to epic adventures and not campy comedies.
