A Winner score

A Winner score

I didn't like the first two POTC scores, especially the first one sounded really out of place with this testosterone filled, Armageddon styled rip-off of the well known Zimmer action scores.

But "At World's End" plays in another league. Like the movie the score has a swashbuckling and epic feeling throughout with beautiful new themes played powerfully by the orchestra. The action cues are the best I've heard in the last years, especially "Up Is Down" and the whole last 20 minutes which accompanies the final battle in the movie. In my opinion far better than any action cue of the late John Williams.

Hoist the colors !

I cannot agree with you on Zimmer having the best action cue far better than any of John Williams, but yes, I thought the last 20 minutes or so was great.
AY!

Now Playing: Marry Me

What late John Williams? Err, he's not dead, my friend.
