I`m a musician(Contrabass Trombone),and listing to planet of apes I almost died,because he knows how to writte for my instrument,I could not believe to what I was listing,absolutelly amazing.so powerfull ,excelent.Thank for all.

Yeah!!! And that´s not Planet of Apes the only Danny Elfman´s score that is well written to contrabass trombone, and other metals, Sleepy Hollow is also very well written to that instruments. But if you like great music for metals you´ve got to listen John Willias´ scores such as Patriot, Star Wars, etc, etc.
Compliments by one person who shares the same language as you. THE PORTUGUESE.:)

I am a Bass/Contrabass Trombone and Tuba player in Boston and also found the score very exciting. Check the www.trombone-usa.com/APES.htm website for an awe-inspiring photo of the 14 Tenor/Bass/Contrabass/Tuba/Cimbasso players on the soundtrack.
