I believe this score is excellent and has an entirely consistent mood and theme. What track seem out of place here? In fact, at least one of the two main themes in this score are evident in every track.

This review seems to be written by someone listening to unknown critics (by the way, who are you talking about?) rather than taking the time to carefully listen to the score itself.

It is sad that this score is considered over-stylish. I think the glaring lack of style in most scores today is the problem.

To write a review of Tears of the Sun and entirely ignore Track 3 is also a huge ommission. It is this track which sums up the whole film for me. Actually my least favorite track (which is the reviewer's favorite) is the almost bland final action music.

Bland? Plus Doug over-obsessing about track 3....

Aboslutely. The score really has quite nice flow.

So true. Zimmer has a unique style, part of what I dig 'bout him.

Indeed a darn good track...real nice ambient build up, heartbreaking tragedy music, and then probably my favorite performance of the main theme. However, It is missing some music, not sure if it is before or after Willis comes back down, where there is a very cool acceleration to the music.

I must strongly disagree here...this track is simply awesome. I love the huge dramatic (Indeed PH "attack" like) and then come the crashing rythms and Lebo M wailing on top of it...fantastic It's media Ventures Action music but DARK, with lots of desperation. Not at all bland!
