This score is big. SO BIG that the mediocre film can't contain it. It doesn't earn the right to use John Powell's score. I ended up growing the love the score once I finally listened to it on its own. In the movie, it was reduced to noise. I didn't think it was anything special. But once I took the time to hear it... wow. I've loved Powell ever since Face/Off. I've enjoyed his collaborations on Dreamworks' CG films with Harry Gregson Williams and LOVE The Bourne Supremacy. His work on United 93 was effective in that it didn't call attention to itself and showed restraint to let the film speak for itself. Go John Powell!!!
