that this cue fills me with a near-indescribable joy:

Truly just one of the all-time great scores. It has like 5 other cues that do the same thing.

Rad-swaggity.

Thank you for reminding me how I need to relisten to this sucker again. Been at least a year or two and yeah, it's goddamn amazing.

Been on a big Poledouris kick this past month -- have you heard his scores for Lassie and White Fang? Just heard those and damn he was awesome.

After all the top ten stuff gets done I'll reset a little bit with some old favorites. There's always the "Middle-Earth in Mid-Winter" and then usually this and Khan and ET will end up in that rotation. (Oops, maybe I should put some non-1982 scores in there?)

Man I'm still so behind on my Basil. I just end up going back to the same 5-6 scores (Starship Troopers, Robocop, Flesh and Blood, Red October) instead of branching out. I should give Blue Lagoon another spin sometime too.

... and this is one of them.

It's a brilliant score that checks all the boxes one could want. If you (reader of this comment) haven't heard Conan the Barbarian (1982) before or it's been a while... go listen to the complete score. NOW.
