I have compiled as many of the weekend's new releases as I can find, and I still have no idea which scores Riley was complaining about. Anyway, they are...

Peter Pan and Wendy (Daniel Hart) - 51 minutes
The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry (Ilan Eshkeri) - 37 minutes
Big George Foreman (Marcelo Zavros) - 60 minutes
Polite Society (Tom Howe/Shez Manzoor) - 41 minutes
Knights of the Zodiac (Yoshihiro Ike) - 98 minutes
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S1 (Nami Melumad, theme by Jeff Russo) - 94 minutes
Perry Mason S2 (Terence Blanchard) - 62 minutes
Rabbit Hole S1 (Siddartha Khosla) - 84 minutes

Also, Korzeniowski's 2007 score Battle for Terra has finally got a release! (44 minutes)

Reply below with anything I may have missed, or your thoughts on any of these scores, or you know, anything useful to the conversation.

Rad-swaggity.

I was the Toby to your Michael on this one.

> Peter Pan and Wendy (Daniel Hart) - 51 minutes
> The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry (Ilan Eshkeri) - 37 minutes
> Big George Foreman (Marcelo Zavros) - 60 minutes
> Polite Society (Tom Howe/Shez Manzoor) - 41 minutes
> Knights of the Zodiac (Yoshihiro Ike) - 98 minutes

> minutes
> Perry Mason S2 (Terence Blanchard) - 62 minutes
> Rabbit Hole S1 (Siddartha Khosla) - 84 minutes

Peter Pan was quite delightful, though admittedly I was hoping for a more memorable theme from a guy that can really nail memorable themes. Had no clue there was a new Eshkeri and Zavros this weekend! Zavros is one of those composers I always keep trying hoping to finally hear a masterpiece; dude's got talent, but most of his scores peter off after a couple good cues. And Eshkeri is my new "oh let's check that out" after Space Station Earth, which is still the best album I've heard in the last two years or so.

Holy shit, no kidding? That was a long wait hahaha

I refuse to be useful to any conversation around here. Starfish buttholes in idle pantsuits.

Despite Broxton's raving about Peter Pan, I still haven't listened. Was wrapping stuff up this morning for the last Desplat post and now I'm working on Strange New Worlds. Good stuff, a little more immediately engaging to me than Picard was.

Shoulda decided that before making a delightful little thread about your favorite new composers.

Another new one from Paolo Vivaldi. Tina Anselmi (TV). I like his work this year.

> Peter Pan and Wendy (Daniel Hart) - 51 minutes

Nice but not great.

> The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry (Ilan Eshkeri) - 37 minutes

Nice.

> Big George Foreman (Marcelo Zavros) - 60 minutes

Not bothered.

> Polite Society (Tom Howe/Shez Manzoor) - 41 minutes

Curious about this one, as I quite like Tom Howe.

> Knights of the Zodiac (Yoshihiro Ike) - 98 minutes

Cool cover art... curious about the music solely based on the cover.

> Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S1 (Nami Melumad, theme by Jeff Russo) - 94
> minutes

Had a quick scan through this... nothing caught my interest.

> Perry Mason S2 (Terence Blanchard) - 62 minutes

I might check it out, I might not.

> Rabbit Hole S1 (Siddartha Khosla) - 84 minutes

Looking forward to this. I quite like Khosla, WHEN I actually remember to listen to his stuff.

> Also, Korzeniowski's 2007 score Battle for Terra has finally got a
> release! (44 minutes)

I'll have to revisit this. I'm sure I've heard it but also sure I wasn't a fan.

So what's the 5 hour release thingy?

> Peter Pan and Wendy (Daniel Hart) - 51 minutes

Really looking forward to this. Quickly scanned a few samples on iTunes and it's far more 'traditional' movie music than I expected.

> The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry (Ilan Eshkeri) - 37 minutes

Huh, will probably check out (also an under 40 minute album!!!)

> Knights of the Zodiac (Yoshihiro Ike) - 98 minutes

Forgot this was coming out. Ike is usually solid, so this along with Hart are top priority.

> Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S1 (Nami Melumad, theme by Jeff Russo) - 94
> minutes

Unless I hear otherwise, I'm not interested.

> Perry Mason S2 (Terence Blanchard) - 62 minutes

Remember near zilch about S1, but it's Blanchard, so I'll give S2 a listen.

> Rabbit Hole S1 (Siddartha Khosla) - 84 minutes

Huh...

> Also, Korzeniowski's 2007 score Battle for Terra has finally got a
> release! (44 minutes)

Will get to this... at some point. Glad it got an official release for those that love it, though. smile

> Reply below with anything I may have missed, or your thoughts on any of

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor (Stephen Barton/Gordy Haab)- 237 minutes
Sisu (Juri Seppa/Tuomas Wainola)- 67 minutes
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (VG) (Viacheslav Pakalin) 107 minutes***

*** Video game where Holmes fights... Lovecraftian nightmares?

Now Playing: Stuff for the JnH journey

New profile pic is wonderful by the way

> Peter Pan and Wendy (Daniel Hart) - 51 minutes
I’d chalk my dissatisfaction with this score to “too high of expectations.” I was so enamored with a potential big fantasy orchestra venture that I forgot that I’m not a big fan of Hart. At least the album is lean and well produced. Sitting at a 3/5 for me right now, because nothing is egregiously bad or anything, but even JnH’s 2003 Peter Pan is a more entertaining interpretation of the concept.

> Knights of the Zodiac (Yoshihiro Ike) - 98 minutes
This one sounds fun. No experience with the composer, but big fantasy thing so maybe epic orchestra I don’t know? Thomas Bergersen dropped the ball with his new album so maybe this will scratch that itch

> Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S1 (Nami Melumad, theme by Jeff Russo) - 94
> minutes
I have a lot of Trek listening to do, with this and Picard S3. Both sound like potential top ten material.

Oh fuck yeah. As an ardent member of the Korzeniowski fan club, this almost makes up for him getting booted off The Nun 2.
