This score came out MONTHS ago, but, before now, I've only listened to it once. After listening to it again, I think I really like this score, well, the more melodic moments, anyway - I'm not so wild about the action cues. And, it undoubtedly has to do with the similarities to two of my favorite scores. Firstly, I was wondering if anyone else thought that the theme for Evolet sounded extraordinarily like a mixture of LOTR cues - to me, it sounded like a blend of the Shire theme, the end of "The Bridge of Khazad Dum" (after Gandalf says "Fly, you fools!"), and the End of All Things/Eagles cue. Secondly, "The End" practically has the EXACT same chord progression as, what I will call, the Knights theme, from King Arthur (it plays near the end of both "Woad To Ruin" and "All of Them!"). Again, it doesn't necessarily take away from the score, but just makes it that much more enjoyable for me. Did you guys note these similarities, as well, or maybe other ones?
