I am enjoying listening to the music on this soundtrack. The ALways/Forever theme is prominent, yet not overdone, throughout the disc with the duet being the favorite. I do agree, that to fully appreciate the music, you do need to have a common frame of reference by having seen the movie. I let a friend listen to it this evening, who had not seen the movie, and enjoyed listening to it. Afterwards, she asked what the theme of the movie was! Not much of a movie buff. The dark and sometimes haunting theme is beautiful. This is definitely one of my soundtracks. Others that I enjoy are Out Of Africa, Field Of Dreams, Schindlers List, Edward Scissorhands and Medicine Man (a truly under-rated soundtrack). An excellent CD despite a so-so film.
