Went on IMDb today and discovered a ton of upcoming films based on the lives of numerous Scoreboarders! No info on who’s scoring these films though, so what would your wish list be?

Here are the upcoming films I saw, though I bet there’s many I missed. If you find any others let us know!

Otherwise, go ahead and pick who you think should score these very exciting projects.

———-

From Legends To Legend: The Jon Broxton Origin Story

Smatter-Man, starring Ahn playing Vikram

GodZilla vs Kong vs Bennett vs Cole - War of the Kaiju Fans

When Craig Heard a Mockingbird, starring Jacob Tremblay as young Craig Lysy

When Riley Was Right - A Study of Rabin and Gigli

Ride the Wave, starring Chris Hemsworth as James Southall and Christophe Waltz as Hans Zimmer.

Tuckered Typist: The True Story of JBlough and His Tired Fingies

The Schlong Ride Home, a beautiful coming of age story about when Kuhni travelled far distances around the world and also saw Edmund’s world famous penis

Where In the World is Ford A. Thaxton, starring Michael and Ethan as super sleuths on the hunt for the elusive movie music mogul

The Odyssey - a ten part mini series on Robert Taylor writing an epic odyssey of film music while constantly being distracted by scoreboard posts about boobs and Satan. Darren Aronofsky is slated to direct.

Being Smug - The Real Life Story of Richard Smugley

TrollHunter, starring Clem, his wife, Tom and Jerry, and a box full of hammers

Sassy Solo - a behind the scenes account starring Nate U on how some wonderful British sass helped create one of our best recent scores. John Powell himself, though, refused to cooperate and therefore won’t be scoring the flick either.

We Love Goldeneye - a film starring trstanvink and no one else.

> From Legends To Legend: The Jon Broxton Origin Story

Simon Franglen, channeling classic James Horner

> Smatter-Man, starring Ahn playing Vikram

Alexandre Desplat.

> GodZilla vs Kong vs Bennett vs Cole - War of the Kaiju Fans

Takayuki Hattori, making his English-language debut.

> When Craig Heard a Mockingbird, starring Jacob Tremblay as young Craig Lysy

One of those Koreans writing massively lush emotional scores

> When Riley Was Right - A Study of Rabin and Gigli

Trevor Rabin himself, in a wonderfully meta collusion of fact, fiction, and fandom.

> Ride the Wave, starring Chris Hemsworth as James Southall and Christophe Waltz as Hans Zimmer.

Ironically, Lorne Balfe.

> Tuckered Typist: The True Story of JBlough and His Tired Fingies

Max Richter, but it's all re-worked versions of his ambient piece 'Sleep'.

> The Schlong Ride Home, a beautiful coming of age story about when Kuhni travelled far distances around the world and also saw Edmund’s world famous penis

Howard Shore, so it ends up being all weird and psycho-sexual.

> Where In the World is Ford A. Thaxton, starring Michael and Ethan as super sleuths on the hunt for the elusive movie music mogul

Chuck Cirino, because he had a soundtrack deal lined up with BSX beforehand.

> The Odyssey - a ten part mini series on Robert Taylor writing an epic odyssey of film music while constantly being distracted by scoreboard posts about boobs and Satan. Darren Aronofsky is slated to direct.

Craig Armstrong, of course.

> Being Smug - The Real Life Story of Richard Smugley

Geasje Palacek, making a long-awaited return to film music.

> TrollHunter, starring Clem, his wife, Tom and Jerry, and a box full of hammers

Rachel Portman.

> Sassy Solo - a behind the scenes account starring Nate U on how some wonderful British sass helped create one of our best recent scores. John Powell himself, though, refused to cooperate and therefore won’t be scoring the flick either.

The Scoreboard's own Brendan Anderson, finally scoring a film, because he is able to draw on his own personal experiences of spending time with Nate U. But it sounds like classic David Arnold.

> We Love Goldeneye - a film starring trstanvink and no one else.

Eric Serra, but then it gets rejected at the last minute, and Lorne Balfe scores this one too.

I mean you're not wrong, but if it's Aronofsky I'd really want Mansell to score it.

That’s surprising, cause I also found Clooney For Looney: When George Became A Trombonist on IMDb after posting the original thread. Who do you think will score jt?

Well would you look at that! How convenient. I'd have to go with Mark Mothersbaugh in full wacky mode.

I feel like this has to go to someone who has written a trombone concerto before.

Maybe Michael Nyman?

https://www.prestomusic.com/classical/products/7924994--nyman-double-concerto-for-saxophone-cello-orchestra-etc

Sidenote, I should look into some trombone concertos as I don't have any in my collection...

Hard to top Broxton's Howard Shore response.

George Kallis, who quits after Michael makes one too many advances on him. Ethan hires Andrew Lockington after that.

what am I, chopped liver?

> From Legends To Legend: The Jon Broxton Origin Story

Either Debbie Wiseman or Simon Franglen.

> Smatter-Man, starring Ahn playing Vikram

Alexandre Desplat.

> GodZilla vs Kong vs Bennett vs Cole - War of the Kaiju Fans

Shiro Sagisu.

> When Craig Heard a Mockingbird, starring Jacob Tremblay as young Craig Lysy

Craig really likes Asian composers doing big stuff, so one of them.

> When Riley Was Right - A Study of Rabin and Gigli

John Powell.

> Ride the Wave, starring Chris Hemsworth as James Southall and Christophe Waltz as Hans Zimmer.

It's all library music.

> Tuckered Typist: The True Story of JBlough and His Tired Fingies

Philip Glass writes the theme, Paul Leonard-Morgan handles the score in what amounts to a significantly duller and slower version of the (not dull, but pleasantly deliberately placed) music of Tales from the Loop. Listeners take a shot every time Leonard-Morgan does his on-beat mezzopiano woodwind chords.

> The Schlong Ride Home, a beautiful coming of age story about when Kuhni travelled far distances around the world and also saw Edmund’s world famous penis

Hell if I know.

> Where In the World is Ford A. Thaxton, starring Michael and Ethan as super sleuths on the hunt for the elusive movie music mogul

Daniel Pemberton.

> The Odyssey - a ten part mini series on Robert Taylor writing an epic odyssey of film music while constantly being distracted by scoreboard posts about boobs and Satan. Darren Aronofsky is slated to direct.

Clint Mansell, but boy oh boy does it sound strikingly like Nicholas Dodd...

> Being Smug - The Real Life Story of Richard Smugley

Patrick Doyle.

> TrollHunter, starring Clem, his wife, Tom and Jerry, and a box full of hammers

Christoph Lennertz, channeling too much hip-hop for Clem's comfort.

> Sassy Solo - a behind the scenes account starring Nate U on how some wonderful British sass helped create one of our best recent scores. John Powell himself, though, refused to cooperate and therefore won’t be scoring the flick either.

Replaced by Lorne Balfe.

> We Love Goldeneye - a film starring trstanvink and no one else.

Mark Mothersbaugh would be a good pick for this - he'd be good at writing the sort of quirky accompaniment that a documentary like this would ask for. (After all, he's done great quirky docu-accompaniment before, with Abstract: The Art of Design.)

Randy Newman - get it? The music would do what film critics love, and contradict what's going on on screen, because it represents when Riley were most wrong...

> Ride the Wave, starring Chris Hemsworth as James Southall and Christophe

Tom Holkenborg, with the contractual demand that the album be a full eight hours. This one sounds great; the only thing is I'd sort of wanna see Zimmer play himself, out of morbid curiosity...

I know this wasn't your intention, but I imagine you'll also agree when I say this kinda made me sad because many (even most) of these sound way better than most American films we'll get this year...

> The Schlong Ride Home, a beautiful coming of age story about when Kuhni travelled far distances around the world and also saw Edmund’s world famous penis

...and then was killed in a tragic plane crash during the journey home which may or may not have been caused by his furiously jealous Aussie friend interfering with his (plane’s wing)nuts!

COMPOSER: Patrick Doyle

> Where In the World is Ford A. Thaxton, starring Michael and Ethan as super sleuths on the hunt for the elusive movie music mogul

Definitely happy to be paired with Ethan for the assignment, but given the loathsome subject of our hunt I insist that we must be 00 agents with a licence to kill.

COMPOSER: Fernando Velazquez

...I've done the travelling far distances part already, so would you please get on with your part of this tale! big grin

Not quite sure what either of us have done to deserve any of this, so we might just play along...

Riles: beverage-of-your-choice is on me if we ever meet again.

Oh, my pick for this flick: HanZ. It's his fault that many of us ended up in this place to begin with...stipulations: drop it to C-minor, heavy on the pan flutes, singing glasses and cowbells.
