Excellent review, was hoping this would show up in your series. I hadn't heard it until I put the film on while editing a couple years ago and within the first few seconds I was like "ohhh shit, this has uber-romantic Barry music?! What a wicked waste of my life avoiding it until now!"

Love this score. Movie is pure silliness but damn, did Barry know when to overachieve.

By far, one of my top ten favourite John Barry scores, the first time I heard "Flashback & Photos" I wept, for me its John's fourth most heartbreaking score after Somewhere in Time, Dances With Wolves and On Her Majesty's Secret Service, I wish someone would resurrect his style, because I miss it so much.

I can only imagine the hysterics the Reznor and Ross loving r/movies would experience if the Barry sound returned

Yeah, the modern world just wouldn't be ready for such overflowing romanticism after a decade of ambient sound design and minimalism.
