Now Playing: Materia Primores (X-files opening titles) - Snow

This week has been pretty much nonstop at work. So I really haven't been able to listen to too many score albums, and have been living off playlists. Today is no different. Sticking with my Halloween playlist. And it is starting off with, the opening titles from "The X-files" aka "Materia Primoris" by Mark Snow. Nice.

What are you listening to?

Call of Duty: WWII (Wilbert Roget, II)

This man needs to do more scores (and not just because we still have too prominent few composers of colour in the Western industry), this is a fantastic Medal of Honor style genre throwback.
It peters off with a bit too much suspense and grimness at the end, Brian Tyler style, but (especially those first 2/3rds) it’s absolutely stuffed with instrumental colour and action highlights, the likes of which you don’t expect to hear in an Activision published FPS game anymore.
God, the full release of Mortal Kombat 1 can’t come soon enough…

Absolutely agree on this one. Wilbert Roget II is underrated and needs more work. Excited for his Star Wars game score he has in the next year or so!
