All the reviews I planned to write for older Elfman and Zimmer scores are now published on the site, and their composer tribute pages have been updated to include ratings for almost all of the unreviewed scores. Their discographies are nearly completely covered, aside from the Zimmer/Myers collaborations and scores of minimal contributions.

https://www.filmtracks.com/composers/zimmer.shtml

This process had been finished previously for John Williams and James Horner as well. There are still more than a dozen Jerry Goldsmith reviews to debut, so I will be mingling those with two of the next composers: Alan Silvestri and John Barry. There are dozens of Silvestri reviews ready to be published, so those will continue mingling with another two composers after the Goldsmith and Barry reviews are all live.

Come on, give the people what they really want - a My Beautiful Laundrette review!

Even Hans was a bit embarrassed by the bubble sounds later in his career.

There was some truly wretched music during those years with Myers, and not just because most of it sounds so horribly dated. It was the era of low-budget synth pop discovery. Silvestri had his equivalent trash back then. I loathe reviewing that stuff. (Though I actually found the bubble effects in Laundrette so awful that they're kind of endearing!)

Hate to be that guy, but the Goldsmith-Page is missing two unreviewed Scores: "Police Story" and "Hawkins on Murder", even though the other Scores included in those releases ("Medical Story", "Winter Kill" and "Babe") are mentioned (and "Babe" was even reviewed).

Sorry, being a completist for a specific composer can become pretty annoying at times. wink

The composer pages include filmographies only, so no TV series. Sometimes, there are TV films that are borderline, like Medical Story, which I hesitated about including. (Yes, it seemed weird to include Medical Story and not Police Story, but their release types seemed sufficiently different.)

Okay, got it.

One more thing: 'Do Not Fold, Spindle or Mutilate'! A Goldsmith-Score with a FRISBEE-rating? Never even heard of its existence before I came across this title on the page. Almost makes me wish this score is unleashed... err, *released*, just to read your review.
Overall, am really thankful for your reviews on these older, obscure Scores.

Hey Christian. Is not showing the not reviewed titles on the composers page on mobile by design? I always have to request desktop view to see the complete list.

Indeed, the full filmographies are only available on the desktop version of the template. That was considered a design "feature" in 2015, but for several years now it's just been an annoyance. When I mentioned re-writing the composer page templates, that's the most major change needed.
