The original 1996-1998 reviews at Filmtracks are officially history. The last of the "phase one" review re-writes has debuted in the On Cue section, ensuring total consistency in the layout of all this site's reviews.

The "second phase" of re-writes includes reviews that needed to be updated despite being featured in Filmtracks' current database format. These will start debuting in the On Cue section immediately (with The Abyss) and will represent many far more popular scores than were updated in "phase one." Their rollout will start with reviews requiring major overhauls from 1989 to 2001, in chronological order by year.

Progress on the re-writes has been behind schedule so far in 2007 due to more coverage time to new 2006-2007 albums. Look for the emphasis to shift back to the re-writes as the year moves along.
