Below is a quick update on the progress in the review re-write process at the site through the first six months of the year. If you are unfamiliar with this ongoing project, view the previous entries on the Site Status page at http://www.filmtracks.com/news/

As stated before, my goals for 2007 were to write 40 reviews of all-new products (same as in 2006) and 140 revisions of older reviews. Through June 30th of this year, I had reviewed 25 all-new products and completed 80 re-writes for a total of 105 reviews. Seven re-writes have already been completed so far in July.

I expect the re-writes to slow down in the second half of the year, though the site will continue to cover all major new releases. The re-writes of older reviews requiring "moderate" upgrades are progressing more slowly than planned because I'm re-writing most of the reviews from scratch rather than attempting to salvage significant portions of them. Many require the addition of newer album releases for the scores originally covered.
