Filmtracks has a new staff member!

With both joy and exhaustion, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Caelen Clemmensen, the newest member of the Clemmensen family and Filmtracks staff. Born on August 29th after 25 hours of labor and surgery (due to the delightful phenomenon known as "big baby in small mother"), both Caelen and Stella are healthy and now resting at home.

Community Medical Center in Missoula offers a site where you can view a picture and basic information about the birth. Feel free to visit and sign the guestbook: http://www.newbabynews.net/hospitals/com28/public/showBaby.pl?babyID=h28-59310755

Reports that Caelen was born with enormous feet are correct (he's a genuine remiped), though reports that he has already suffered an adverse allergic reaction to the music of Hans Zimmer are greatly exaggerated. His true introduction to the world of film music is yet to come, and the cue "Riders of Doom" from Basil Poledouris' Conan the Barbarian has been nominated for that task. There's nothing quite like a quick start...

As for the schedule of content at Filmtracks, Caelen will be determining when I'll be able to resume a regular schedule of new reviews. The debut of re-writes of older reviews continues; 16 were finished in July and 23 in August. The normal surge of new album reviews at the end of the year will likely address the August and September releases not yet featured on the site.

If you have a preference on a specific album or set of albums you'd like to see featured at the site given my limited reviewing time in the next two months, please let me know by e-mail or at the Scoreboard.

Personally, I'd trade ten finished reviews for a full night of sleep...

Christian
