I think this film's ending is magnificent. From the beginning when the Superbly evolved Mechas are introduced as they are telekinetically moving to the destination of Dave(I believe that's the name of the A.I. robot I forgot). Anyways, I once thought the Superbly Evolved Mechas were Superbly Evolved Aliens. I believe that we are headed in such a direction to an advancement and evolution beyond the Homo Sapien. Notice As I said Telekinetically moving, I for one believe they had such power. It's just a movie, but I give credit to Kubrick and Spielberg who make Sci-Fi films that are based on Real Science in the Real Universe. Most Sci-Fi films ive seen are not really Sci-Fi there fantasy.
Anyways I just have one question, what is that background music that is playing as the Mechas are advancing through the planet to reach Dave at the ending?

I agree! The ending from when David falls off the building is just beautiful!!! the best!!! Love it!! I think the music that is played is from track 8. THe wordless choir section. My favourite piece of music of all time is track 11 - especially the moment we see The Blue Fairy. As much as I love the Lord of the Rings - I think this should have won best score.
