I have to say, Hans is a much better composer than most people give him credit for. This is a very strong score, and I really like the choir in the film score for it works well in the mysterious religous ideas for the film, along with the speed of the string section, especially in the first song. Sure the synths do get annoying, and his music can be bombastic, but that is Zimmer for you, that is his style. I believe he did not put the theme in from the last score as much, much like Williams did the same for Lost World. The sequels in both cases are much darker. Zimmer did a really good job with this score, though a little less synth would have been perfered for my taste, so four out of five from my view.
