I have to agree with you. Especially when viewed with the accompanying visuals. I too listened through the score a few days or so before seeing the film. I came away from it with very little desire to listen to it again. But after going to see the film and witnessing how it powerfully emphasized every visual aspect of it. I came back eager to give the score another try and I have to say I have been listening to it on a loop now for several days. It is really much better than I realized. The review here is definitely biased and unfair. I appreciated your take much better. Let's face it, this score is not in the same category with other classics I'm sure we all have in our collection, but it does deserve some recognition for doing what a film score is supposed to do: It enhances the experience of seeing the film.
