Comments about the soundtrack for The Bourne Identity (John Powell)

I was searching on the web to info on the Bourne Identity soundtrack because I really liked it. But, as I read here, the soundtrack isn't that good. I guess that means I should stop looking for info.

I think the reviewer's article is off base. He didn't like the soundtrack because it doesn't jive with the book? That's rediculous. Reviewers should make opinions before they read the book that the movie comes from, since the movie isn't specifically for those who have read the book, but rather those who are too lazy to do so.

The soundtrack enhanced the movie a great deal, kicking in with percussive barrages during fight scenes and overscoring slick beats on mysterious and suspenseful scenes. The only criticism I have for soundtrack is that it sounds a bit too James Bond-ish at times, like the bass guitar lead accompanied by strings on the "Treadstone Assasins" track. Still, this isn't a fully bad thing, since it is a James Bond-ish movie in a sense.
