My friends and I sing and dance to the main soundtrack songs from this movie constantly, and the movie has such an interesting plot.
All that Jazz, Roxie, and Cell Block Tango are my favorite songs from the Chicago soundtrack.
ALL THAT JAZZ~ fun song to sing to, but takes a while to learn all the words. There is a long intro of a band playing, and then finally Velma starts to sing. A little naughty if u really listen to its lyrics, but a fun song.
ROXIE~ extremley fun to sing. And tap dance! lock urself in ur room and perform to this easy-to-learn song, u'll have a blast!
CELL BLOCK TANGO~ genious. pure genious. I CAN NEVER GET SICK OF THIS SONG! The song is performed by the women living in the prison, and they all briefly tell why they killed their husband/boyfriend/brother. They all have different personalities, from sassy to foreign, to pure guilty to not guilty at all. Great dance song, yet just a few bad words.
HE HAD IT COMIN~ This song is performed by Queen Latifah, Lil' Kim, and unfortunatley, Macy Gray. Extremely annoying song, and poorly done. A little relief from the song is Lil' Kim's contribution, but not as good as her performance in "Lady Marmalade." At the end of the song, Macy Gray just has to but in and sing "He had it comin, he had it comin, he only had himself to blame. If youda been there, if youda seen it! *her annoying voice* I BETCHA U WOULDA DONE THE SAME" She repeats those words over and over. Please, dont bother to listen to this song.
But overall, I would definitley say that this soundtrack is a must have. Thanks!
