This soundtrack is often criticised for being a lot of elements taken by Silvestri from Forrest Gump,of course,in a changed form.However,I think it is one of Silvestri' s most enjoyable scores alongside with Forrest Gump.Here Silvestri proves what the critics say he can never prove:write nice and highly enjoyable action cues.These cues are Ellie' s Bogey and Good To Go.There are extremely good string play - which is no wonder,considering the string music of Forrest Gump long before this one.There are a couple of outstanding cues:the dark Heart Attack with a haunting choir,and Media Event is starts out quietly,but then become a joyful musical piece.No Words features an interesting middle percussion section with strings.Most cues are relaxing,apart from the action cues.In Small Moves,the string play even surpass the usual string play standard of Silvestri' s scores.Contact - End Credits contains the best music from the album,even performed better than the first time.I think this soundtrack is a real treat to any film music lovers.
