After so many years of enjoying this soundtrack I remain perplexed as to why the "buffalo hunt" track on the CD is just another variation of the "john dunbar theme" and not the magnificent theme that accompanied the hunt sequence in the film. If anyone can enlighten me I would really appreciate sharing their knowledge.
I have often wondered were they (powers that be) holding that and other titbits for a volume 2 ?.
After Miklos Rotza's score for "Ben Hur" the music for "Dances With Wolves" comes a very close second.
