Comments about the soundtrack for The Hulk (Danny Elfman)
This score is a Goldenthal rip-off!

This score is a Goldenthal rip-off!   Friday, December 19, 2003 (12:07 a.m.)

The ostinato motif in the main title is clearly influenced by Alien³, while the ethno music has its roots in Golden Gate. Both strong efforts, but Elfman totally fails in adapting the style of Goldenthal here.

Everyone on this site knows that I am an Elfman and Goldenthal nut by now and I cant hear what you are saying. This score is kinda weak, but I dont think it has really ripped off anything. I know much about Alien3 and I cant really hear what you are saying. And as for GOlden Gate? uhh...This work could have sounded a little better without the ethnic sounds I suppose. But the movie didnt really know what it wanted so why coulndnt the music do the same?
