There was a typo in my post:

I didn't mean to say I think the End Credits Suit should 'reflect/correspond with the tone of the movie's ending'. I think my mind was stuck on wording a different paragraph when I wrote those words.

What I meant to say was 'reflect/correspond with the what STORY'S tone/status is BY THE END of the movie' ... But the rest of my post is fine.
