Yeah you heard right!
Hans Zimmer will be scoring the newest Batman film with his old pal JAMES NEWTON HOWARD! Thats gonna sound great! I wonder how it could compare to Dany Elfmans though?

Sorry but Batman needs...well it needs better. James Newton Howard is a fine composer, I admire him. Zimmer...no...just no. I dont enjoy his synth music and I think his action music (notice I dont say ALL his music) runs together. My choice would not have been Zimmer, but Howard, that's fine.

I don't know... While I think that Howard can capture both the drama, sorrow, and foreboding threat of The Batman, I'm concerned with Zimmer. Don't get me wrong; I love Zimmer (particularly Gladiator and Crimson Tide), but my concern here is that his music tends not to be subtle or especially scarey, two components I've always thought essential to any decent Batman film. Indeed, while I like Elfman's rendition, I never thought that it really captured the drama, sorrow, and foreboding threat of the title character. Sure, it was awfully swashbuckling, but there needs to be a degree of sorrow and horror wrapped up in the score.
Still, I'm sure this will be interesting never the less.

The film would be better suited with Brian Tyler scoring it.
He won't ruin it unlike Hans Zimmer.

That WILL be the ultimate score. 2 of my favorite composers together, woow i can't wait to see what they will come up with. I just hope they don't go seperate ways like with Secret Window again. But one thing is clear .. it's gonna be THE BOMB. ^_^

J.N. H. + H. Z. = Bat5??? |

Well, when I first heard the choice, I felt strange about it.
Collaboration of two composers does not sound good to me.
Moreover, I listened to "The Last of the Mohycans" score (few
weeks ago) and I got almost crazy when hearing the synths and
electronics in some of its parts.
And, the composers revealed realistic (i.e. do not
expect Elfmanian Bat1 approach) Ch. Nolan wanted an
unusual score. What does it mean?
More and more afraid? I think we were given several good reasons.
I feel strange about it, but I hope the score will not suck. But
somehow I feel... we all have to wait.
