Reviewer needs to stop knocking Zimmer's style |

Seriously, this electronic-symphonic style is the newest trend in film music, it was started by Zimmer, and it's brilliant. He shouldn't stop doing it. Nobody knows what you mean when you say his work is unoriginal. Of course it's original! There is nothing wrong with taking the best of what already exists and giving it a new sound. He's not "the closest he'll ever be to Howard Shore," he should be expected to improve. He's better than Shore as far as I'm concerned, because he's done more.
Bottom line: after years of consistently using electronics in his work, how can you assume he'll ever want to stop? That is so illogical and ignorant. It shouldn't call for negative statements throughout your review, and certainly not a negative review (Pirates of the Caribbean). I think you just got pissed off when you wrote that review because it relied even more on the synths. Have you noticed everyone else loves that score? It's brilliantly written.
