Zimmer changed Davy Jones' theme

I know, it seems like a dumb point. But he did. I first noticed it when I watched the film. All he did was remove one note. Not that it really matters, but it sort of bothers me...

Maybe it had to do with Zimmer's thing about "starting from scratch" with the score. He decided to simplify the theme, or just change it, so it wouldn't be more of the same thing. It's not that the theme has lost its power. But I don't really understand why he removed that one note.

I wish the theme had been used more on the soundtrack. It only really appears twice, in both At Wit's End and I Don't Think Now Is the Best Time. Still, I guess this is just me nitpicking, but why did Zimmer change the theme?

Maybe some day I'll find out, but for now, I just don't know.
