I just don't understand why this got a 2/5 rating. I mean, I like the songs that Elton John had made especially the theme song, "Trail We Blaze", "The More I Learn" and "Friends Never Say Goodbye" and the music score from Hans Zimmer and John Powell, although not excellent, is very good and has an atmospheric tone while adding some spanish motifs which is not a bad thing. So, with all due respect, I'll give this a 4/5 rating.

As for the movie, I also like it too even as a child and I still love it right now. Sure, the story, despite it's nice concept, is predictable and there was only one scene that was totally homosexual (the part where Chel seduces Tulio), but those flaws are outweighed by it's beautiful animation, wonderful characters, great songs, nice pacing, and a top-notch voice cast with the likes of Kevin Kline and Kenneth Branaugh who did a great job with their chemistry. Not exactly excellent, but extremely underrated in my opinion.
